Search Engine Optimization Resources
How to tell if Google knows about your website.
- Go to Google.
- Search for site:recognizedexpert.com (Replace “recognizedexpert.com” with YOUR websites address!)
- If you see even 1 result that means that Google knows about your website. If you see “Your search - site:thissitedoesnotexist.com - did not match any documents.” That means your site has not yet been seen by Google.
Things to Avoid
- Websites built completely or primarily in Flash. They may look great, but remember search engines can only understand text, not fancy graphics or animation!
- Frames. If your site uses frames scrap it and start from the beginning.
Powerful Tips For SEO
- Do what Google says to do.
- Use keywords naturally, don’t stuff them into your content.
- Read The SEO Book!
- Build keyword rich links back to your site. Ask for them, market articles, do what ever it takes as this is one of the most powerful ways to rank higher for any term you are shooting for.

- Most importantly remember that most web designers know absolutely nothing about SEO. You shouldn’t expect them to know the in’s and out’s of SEO, they are web designers, not Internet marketers!
