The Shakuhachi is a bamboo flute created by Zen monks many hundreds of years ago.
For these Zen monks, the shakuhachi was a spiritual tool, not a musical instrument. The act of playing the shakuhachi relaxed the mind and body in many ways, and subsequently aided their meditation and contemplation.
This is the music I mentioned in my previous posting that combines so well with the sound of the waterfall. Riley Lee, Grand Master Shakuhachi player, and I have created "Shakuhachi...

In these difficult economic times we all need to remember to relax
and not allow ourselves to just focus on the negative side of the pond in which we are all swimming.
The Japanese have the "Onsen", or hot bath, which is deeply imbedded in their culture. Relaxing in the hot tub is a wonderful way to wash away the stresses of life.
