Raleigh Pinskey has spent more than 30 years teaching people how to promote themselves. Over that time she's discovered that one of the biggest things keeping people from promoting themselves is their fear of rejection.

In this program Raleigh talks about the action steps you can take to overcome your fear and begin promoting yourself with confidence. Listen to the author of "101 Ways to Promote Yourself" and get the publicity started today.

Raleigh, thanks so much for touching on one of the toughest challenges entrepreneurs face today - they don't have sales people, they ARE the sales people. I'm forwarding this to a coaching client with whom I have been working on "reviewing the tape" and reprogramming the message because of these exact issues. And how sad is it that, as effective as it might be in overcoming fears, we have to teach ourselves to be someone else so that we can regain our confidence in our own value? Although one of the most powerful tools we can master is authenticity we have to first believe in the VALUE offered by our authentic self. You offer a terrific message, thanks again.

Hi Dixie:
Great comment. I wonder how many of us have an issue with seeing the full value of our authentic self? And how many of us are able to work through the process before we move on to the next dimension?

Bob, it goes back to what Raleigh was saying about the "recordings". We're taught that to think you have value just because you are you is to be arrogant. If we stand up and say "I add value to the world by being myself" we get slapped down pretty fast, especially as children. How many times have we been told "it's rude to toot your own horn"? But being fake adds no value, to you or to the people around you. Check out the Law of Authenticity in The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann - "The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself." Being the best "self" we can be and offering of ourselves freely with a full understanding of the value that adds is just one of the keys to a fulfilled life as well as being one of the five laws to Stratospheric Success. Here's to being your best self and celebrating how wonderful that is every day!

I love reading your thoughts Dixie. You're always so inspiring. I just finished reading Bob's book and enjoyed having him on the show.

For those of you reading this post, Dixie Gillaspie is the embodiment of a Go-Giver. Not only does she live the life of a go-giver, but she teaches the principles in her very popular workshop. If you're interested in having Dixie come to your business and talk to your people about the powerful process of building referrals and lifelong relationships through giving, please contact her at PureSynchrony.
There's another program I think you all will enjoy; The Art Of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It by Peggy Klaus. She's another author I really enjoy and she focuses on the same subject of projecting to the world your value without being a jerk about it.

Good to hear from you Dixie. Please tell all of our mutual friends in St. Louis hello from me.

P.S. I really like your new website. It's beautiful.
