Writing Search Engine Optimized Articles For Distribution
You do not want to write a keyword rich search engine optimized article if you're going to distribute your article on the Internet. It's a waste of time. Write your article for content and write your article title for the search engines.

The goal of your article is to project your expertise. The goal of your article title is to make it easy for your target market to find your article on the Internet. Besides, you don't want a website like Ezinearticles.com to be in the first position for your keyword or keyword phrase. You want your website to show up in that position. If you write a fully optimized article, you'll be competing for the top spot with all the sites that publish your article. Focus on content, and save the optimized - content rich articles for your own website or blog.

Not Using Keyword Rich Anchor Text In The Author Block
There is nothing more important than the author block. Most authors understand the value of writing a strong call to action, but without paying attention to the anchor text, they're cutting their leads in half.

Yes, it's great to have visitors read your article and visit your site ... but it's even better when they do a Google search and see your site at the top of the search engine results page (SERP) for your keyword before visiting your website. Not only will the majority of your prospects find your website this way, but they will also see you as the authority in your field if your site shows up at the top of the SERP's.

By making the phrases "Acceptance Speech" and "Thank You Speech" the clickable anchor text, Google is much more likely to show the sites that those phrases link to near the top of its SERP's. These are two terms I will be targeting in future articles.

Submitting Articles To A Limited Number Of Sites
It amazes me that an author will spend the time and effort to write a killer article only to have it submitted to a handful of sites. Why would you do all of that work to have your article seen by dozens of people when with the same amount of effort you could have it seen my thousands of people? Why would you settle for a handful of links back to your site when you could generate hundreds of links to your site?


Please, if you're going to write an article for distribution ... distribute it in mass. Let me suggest you use a service like Article Marketer or iSnare to do the heavy lifting for you. If Unique Article Wizard allows you to submit an unlimited number or articles under an unlimited number of authors ... it could be the very best value for companies submitting articles for others. I have not used Unique Article Wizard myself yet, but my understanding is that you can publish articles under as many different names as you'd like.

I've never published my own articles on UAW, but did get 2 Blogger blogs banned from Google's search results while publishing articles using their auto-publisher.

It may have actually been a Blogger ban instead of a Google ban now that I think about it. None the less, you just need to be careful about what you allow to be "auto-posted" to your website. If I were to do it again I would manually review every single post instead of allowing them to "ok" them for me.

The service itself is a really cool idea though. I think the articles just need to be better reviewed.

We're talking about two different services offered by UAW.

• The service Adam and I are talking about has to do with getting your articles published on other websites using UAW.
• The service Josh is talking about is having UAW automatically publish other people's articles to your website. Article Marketer will do the same thing, but I think it's as automated at UAW. And I think this service is free ... is it not?
