Default Software for Marketing Campaigns

Hi,

I read the site here: http://www.anandgraves.co...il-guide#software_sending

and was wondering if someone could explain to me the difference between a "program for sending HTML Emails" and an "Email client"

additionally, I would like to know what is the best software (other than Bat!, freeware) besides Outlook 2007, i don't like the fact that i can't create different users, and the mailmerge seems to be useful ONLY for customizing fields in the body OR the attachment, but not both, and several other stifling factors

is outlook 2007 even capable of sending HTML emails?

and how do i make / what the heck is "inline CSS"

and could someone also please tell me what is the difference between "web-based" email senders and Outlook? Apparently you need a web-based client to send large amounts of emails, numbering in the thousands, but why cant outlook be used for that?

and how much software do i exactly need to create a handsome newsletter or email marketing campaign which uses HTML and inline CSS

any help would be appreciated,

thanks

Email Client vs. Email Marketing Tools
An email client is a tool like Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird or the Android Email App.

A program for sending HTML emails could be any one of the above tools, but is more than likely a tool like aWeber, iContact, ConstantContact, Interspire Email Marketer or a simple PHP Script to send HTML Emails.
Avoid Sending Bulk Email From Your Home PC
Outlook and other "On Your PC" applications generally shouldn't be used for bulk email sending for many reasons.
  1. Your messages have a high chance of being marked as spam automatically due to sending from a residential line.
  2. It is incredibly difficult to manage unsubscribe requests manually.
  3. Some ISP's won't send more than 50 messages per hour. This means if you trigger 3000 emails to be sent only the first 50 leave, the rest dissipate into oblivion.

I believe you're looking for an email marketing tool. I would price out these sites and see what feels right.

aWeber, iContact, ConstantContact, Interspire Email Marketer or a simple PHP Script to send HTML Emails.
Inline CSS
Inline CSS is a way to incorporate CSS code directly into the body of your document rather than placing it in the header or within another file linked to your document.
An example of inline CSS:
HTML Code:
This text has <span style="font-weight: bold;">inline CSS applied to it.</span>
