HTML or HTML + CSS in Outlook 2007
I wonder where do you put the HTML & CSS information into Outlook? you can't just type HTML code with CSS on the new message window can you? I know Microsoft has an "HTML & CSS Code Validator" which checks code for Outlook 2007 emails, and it only works with Visual Studio and Dreamweaver. so does that mean you can only code HTML & CSS in Dreamweaver or VS? and after creating a CSS style sheet, isn't it always just a .css text file included with the .htm file? and so a better question might be: How do you manually type in HTML code into Office 2007? or at least get your code to display in 2007? I tried dragging and dropping the .htm file into the new message like you do with browsers, but nothing.. is it somethng you have to do with word? thanks |

I believe Microsoft uses the Internet Explorer engine to render emails and use the MS Word engine to compose messages. They may use a new engine all together for Outlook 2007 as it feels like every CSS element has been rendered useless.
![]() What's this mean? Poor support for CSS and HTML viewing and terrible support for CSS and HTML email creation. Technical Junk From Microsoft: Other options? |
