We use Interspire for our email marketing. This is a software based system that you must add to your own dedicated server. I do not recommend you use this software unless you already have a dedicated server and access to an email marketing technician. Email marketing software is unlike anything you've ever worked with before and if you don't know what you're doing, it will create unnecessary problems.

If we did not have a full on email technician on staff, and most companies don't, I would use Aweber, Constant Contact or iContact. They all have a very good reputation and as you can see, they are used frequently by the pros.

what about direct send from your ISP? What would be a good program to send you email and newsletters? I am told one of the top ones are Atomic Mail Sender and SendBlaster. what is this forum opinion on this?

Direct send is not always reliable. RoadRunner (hawaii.rr.com specifically) for example in some circumstances will send the first 50 messages and simply discard every message thereafter for 24 hours. No bounces or errors. I'm specifically talking about opt-in emails, not broadcast/spam.

It depends on your provider, but if the emails are important I would choose a reliable sending service.
