Buying
Bulk Email Addresses is a very bad idea. You might be able to purchase them for just pennies per contact, but the seller might as well give them to you for free. When you try to send a message to their list of bulk email addresses, 99% of them will never be seen.
Don't let a list provider trick you into purchasing their list by telling you that they have a 98% delivery rate. What they won't tell you is that the vast majority of the delivered emails go to the recipients spam box. A message delivered to a spam box
is considered delivered mail.
There are two questions you should ask a list provider before you purchase their bulk email addresses.
- How did you acquire the email addresses?
If they're not double opt-in, they're not worth dirt.
- What percent of the emails do you guarantee will get through the spam filters?
If they give you any answer other than, "I don't know." They're not telling you the truth.
