Hi there, first time posting something in the forum!
I'd like to know what are the 'thresholds' that a new online marketer should consider when researching campaigns? If you see below, I've done the research on some keywords based off # searches, competition, AllinURL and AllinTitle searches, however I'm wondering what would be the 'suggested' thresholds to consider for keywords (i.e., if the 'Competition' gets above 10,000, then would it no longer be considered a viable keyword , etc?) Also, the results shown below for 'Global Monthly Searches' are based off 'broad' keywords. When I re-did the searches on the Google Keyword tool and checked the 'Phrase' box, some of these keywords went down from 22,000 to about 500 (obviously a significant reduction and a bit of a concern) - so should I only consider keywords in 'phrase' format, or would you typically consider the 'broad' results sufficient for research purposes. Thanks, Crackas Keyword Global Monthly Searches Competition AllinURL AllinTitle Keyword 1 22200 92600 5200 8120 Keyword 2 22200 50600 768 1080 Keyword 3 22200 214000 14800 21400 Keyword 4 22200 14500 1200 1460 Keyword 5 18100 1750000 11000 15000 Keyword 6 18100 7530 624 2340 |

Hi Crackas:
I hate to say this, but it depends. It depends on the product or service you're targeting. The best place to get an answer to your questions is to go to Market Samurai. They have some really good guidelines that I know you will find helpful.
