Hi,

I learn a lot in this forum. However I really want to know, Is there any other free or cheaper video making software as an alternative to Camtasia which we can run from our desktop.?

I searched for free alternative for Camtasia , and I stumbled upon a nice online tool which can simplified Video making process in seconds as shown below in my signature.

But I prefer the desktop applications which normally convenient to work with, can anybody recommend any free or cheaper desktop alternative (until I had enough to afford Camtasia)? TQ

I use ScreenFlow, but it's for the Mac and it's only $99. I don't know of an alternative for windows.

Well that's better than Camtasia which is a few hundred bucks and I see a lot of people using Mac for Multimedia content creation related activity coz of the perceived value that its better in term of speed and user experience. Is it true ? tq

The free version of Jing is great for vids 5 mins or less "plenty to get yourself up on tube mogul or youtube" also I think the paid version is pretty cheap
Jing is made by techsmith so you can't go wrong .

I use both jing and animoto. I prefer animoto.

I agree Camstudios is easy and a great free tool for making quick effective videos for your marketing. There are also many ther tols for compressing and submitting that are free and do a good job.

Looks like I might have to get myself Camstudios. thanks for tip!
