i have heard so much about keyword density in articles.
question, 1 is it relevant anymore question 2 if it is relevant what is a good gage on how many times a key word phrase should show in your article.

If I'm writing an article for my website I'll pay attention to keyword density. Basically I just try to write naturally with that keyword in mind so not to stuff it into the text.
If I'm writing for re-syndication (article marketing) I don't pay too much attention to the keyword density at all. Mainly because these articles are going to be published on other websites. Important keywords in my opinion: Writing for own website: titles, links and body. |

The search engines are getting much smarter. For example, if you were writing an article about fish in Hawaii, Google is smart enough to know that a huhumumunukunukuapua'a is an Hawaiian trigger fish. You don't even have to write the term fish in Hawaii for the search engines to understand what you mean. This is known as latent semantic indexing or LSI.
Keywords are relevant, but not to the extent that you think they are. Using your keywords is how you let your readers and Google know what your writing about. My suggest is to do what Josh suggests above.

Hi CustomerOnlineMarketing:
Great comment, especially coming from an SEO expert. You know there is a lot of bad advice still going around about keyword density, keyword stuffing bla bla bla. It's great to have another professional SEO expert on the forum. Your feedback is great. Thank you.
