Okay - I read somewhere that posting the same article on numerous sites did NOT help your standing in the search engines. Instead, you need to change them up just enough for them to be considered "different." Was that off base?

Hi Kathryn:
What you're talking about is what people have called the duplicate content penalty. It does not apply to article marketing. You don't want to have the same article multiple times on your website. That's not what you're doing with article marketing. You're taking one article and having it placed once on multiple websites. Does that makes sense?

That's what I mean - posting the same article on the free article sites - like ezine and goarticle - but just changing the language enough to make it seem like different content. I've done the posting one article on a number of sites, but not through a service. It was only recently that I read about the need to change the article a little.
BTW - I'm very impressed with your response time .

Hi Kathryn:
You really don't need to change the text on your article when you submit it to multiple sites. It's not a good idea. I have an account with Article Marketer and they distribute my article to hundreds of sites at the same time ... without changing the text.
