Default Bookmarking?

Bob, I received an e-mail from one of the sites that accepted my article suggesting that I go to some social bookmark sites and click on "bookmark." I guess my article is there, and bookmarking will get me more hits. I'm not sure what this is. Do you folks do it, and is it a good idea? Thanks, Jill

Bookmarking is a great idea. We use it to generate hundreds of visitors to our website, and this site owner (who is hosting your article) is hoping that you will bookmark your article on his site so that those same hundreds of visitors will see your article on his site. Problem is, they won't be seeing the article on your site.

A better choice is to tweak your article so that it's slightly different from the article you sent to Article Marketer. I would change the title, include a call to action in the last paragraph of the article to replace the author block, add 2 or 3 images to the article to make it look more attractive and include links (within the article) leading to other resources. You can do all of these things because your tweaked article is only going to show up on your website. You are not going to be resubmitting it to Article Marketer. They would not accept it anyway in this condition.

The reason you want to do all of these things is because you're making your article much more attractive to the reader. Then bookmark the page on your website with your article to the Stumble-Upon community. This way, visitors will go to your website to see the article and not to the other site where your article is posted. This is one of the best ways to get traffic to your website.

Please look at how we spiff-up the articles we post on the homepage of Recognized Expert. I know from experience that by making these simple changes, people are more likely to read the article and share it with others.

Here is a video I made that will show you How to Stumble (bookmark) a page on your website. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks Josh:
Do you have any insider tips when using SocialMarker? Any suggestions that will help our members and guests get the most out of this service? What do you now know about using SocialMarker that you didn't know when you first started?
Thanks again Josh

Social bookmarking shared bookmarks have become a means for users sharing similar interests to pool web resources, or to store their bookmarks in such a way that they are not tied to one specific computer or browser. Web-based bookmarking services let users save bookmarks on a remote web server, accessible from anywhere.

Some of the social bookmarking sites have stopped accepting bigger article directory links as it has been abused quite a lot, but there is so many bookmaking sites so it should not stop you building some links to your articles. We always bookmark all the articles that get approved at our article directory and it has really increased to views to the articles.
