I have viewed the video on how to use the forum's and I'm curious as to the results of searching. I notice that each forum has a search feature and then there is the search feature at the top of the page. When I enter a keyword to search for, are ALL the forums searched or just the one I'm searching in. I tried searching for this answer, both in the forum I'm in and the one at the top, but could not get any results.
Also, regarding quick replies: when I enter a quick reply and someone comments on my reply am I also sent an email to that effect or do I have to come back and check if someone has commented/replied to what I wrote? I wanted an answer to my query above so I posted a new thread instead of just using quick reply. |

You have 3 choices for searching:
1) Site Search (Very Top: Green Bar.) This queries Google for content on Recognized Expert. All Forums and other RE sites are included. This is the most comprehensive search available. 2) "Search This Thread" (Just above the list of posts on a given page.) This will search only this thread (aka: topic.) 3) Advanced Search: Recognized Expert - Search Forums Complex and detailed search for any given section of Recognizedexpert.com ---- Email alerts: If you would like to receive email alerts to replies you will need to subscribe to the thread (or topic) you would like alerts for. This can be done per-thread or automatically once you post. For detailed information on thread subscriptions and email alerts please check out Recognized Expert - FAQ: User Profile Features |

Thank you. I just found out that 'advanced search' is how I access all my post's and replies as well. I had not even seen the advanced search feature before now.
