Are there any good ( reliable ) company's that I can get / rent targeted email list from. I was looking at Omega one and liked what they were saying.... anyone have any experience with these folks?

I would discourage you from going this route. I know it sounds compelling especially knowing that they are only going to charge you pennies per lead, but it doesn't work. If you're going to do this anyway, and many people do because it sounds too good to be true, pay for the smallest mailing they provide. You will quickly discover that your return on your investment is Zero. The mail they send out is considered SPAM and they will tell you so. It's SPAM because the people receiving your message did not ask for it.

Is there anyway to get list that work? I have about 500 + in my own data base that we've collected over the 10 years we've been in business, but I'm hoping to get alot more. Does a service like constant contact provide list?

Hi Russ:
Services like Constant Contact provide you with the opportunity to gather names and email address. They also offer a newsletter and an auto-responder service. They don't provide a list of names or a list for you to send an email to. It's against their Terms of Service.

You can run a successful email campaign with the right list and content. The vast majority of our business comes from our email campaigns. Follow the CAN-SPAM guidelines and you'll be fine.

Also, before subscribing to a email marketing provider, read their terms of use and consider where/how you acquired your list. Some require opt-in, others do not.
