Question How do I find affiliate programs or people?

My company created a marketing system for small busiensses. It's self contained so we sell it as a package. We want to move incorporate affiliate programs to help market our system. Can you offer any thougths on how to best use affiliate programs and which ones you would recommend?

Hi JeffD:
Is your program a digital product? If so you can use a service like Commission Junction or one of the many other affiliate programs. If not, there are other services that will work for you. Please tell me more about your product or service.
Aloha, Bob

Our current system (Marketing Firepower) is on DVD and incorporates about 40 short videos (5-1 minutes in length) to show the small business owner why they should advertise and how to develop and implement and effective advertising program. We sell that physical package for a one time fee of $595. We will soon move our system online and incorporate a small monthly membership fee instead of the one time payment. This will allow us to add additional videos each month as well as host information webinars for our clients. Does that provide you the info you need to point me in the right direction?

Thanks Jeff:
It does help. Let me start by encouraging you to listen to my interview with Rosalind Gardner on How To Create Your Own Affiliate Marketing Business. She is the queen of affiliate marketing and the author of The Super Affiliate Handbook. She knows a lot more about how affiliate marketing works and what software to use than I do.

I will also encourage Josh to get involved in this thread. We purchased affiliate software for Recognized Expert last month and he is in the process of testing it for our seminar business.

I would recommend looking into Post Affiliate Pro - Affiliate Software, Affiliate Program Software

It allows for one time as well as recurring payments to affiliates. It's really easy to install too (at least from a techies point of view )

Josh that looks like a great piece of software, I am going to have to check into it more as I built a few affiliate programs for a few of my customers in the clothing industry and the credit card processing industry however I found a ton of the affiliates that would copy my entire site and then we have to clean up duplicate content issues.

The last one I really liked was http://www.clixgalore.com/ as it integrates into a ton of carts and the support was great.

I have not used them for some time however I did get some great companies marketing our products from it.

CJ.com is great however it is a bit out of range for most small to mid-size companies.

http://www.linkconnector.com is another one I have used as it has some great features to take a look at.

Anytime you engage affiliate marketing you need to watch how your affiliates are presenting your product to the world.

I think I understand your question however what you are looking for is advise and I think you would best listening to some of speakers on this site within the Radio Shows the Recognized Expert has a ton of great interviews and I am sure you can find some that will help guide you in the direction to better develop detailed strategies and bring your concepts to life.

The first think is that plan, and then develop a team to accomplish the tasks to provide to physical things needed to make it call happen. and this ties back to what Bob and Josh had mentioned that not all products will need an affiliate marketing campaign however as Bob above pointed out some great audios to checkout I would start there and then move forward.
