And i know the answer already... I just want to see how other people look at it... Proper email marketing with optin, coreg, or survey leads is faster at making your site come up in the rankings... but are the rankings really what is important?

Or, at the end of the day... isn't it the total sales you've generated more important?

SEO vs Email Marketing

As you said DataMaster you already know the answer.

Its simple whichever is currently bringing in the most amount of $$$'s is the most important.

If the answer is neither or negligible then email marketing is the wisest first choice. Its faster more cost effective and you are chasing your customers while building a relationship. instead of sitting on your bum waiting for them to find you, like you then buy from you.

However in the long run of business then SEO should be be done and done properly. The sooner the better. But never let the concept of SEO and NO.1 in Google blind you from actually cracking on building relationships and making sales.

How many of you guys really know how to make money with email marketing?

....I do!

I used to be a pretty hardcore affiliate marketer and I learned quite a bit about
email marketing, building targeted opt-in lists, how to write mini-sales letters, etc.

And if it's one thing I know a lot about it's not just how to write effective email marketing messages that convert at up to 30% per blast, it's how (step by step) to
make fast money with promotion of various affiliate products using email as the vehicle.

I probably should sell a report for $10 on how to do it but if you PM me with "Teach Me" in the subject line I might just be inclined to give you the step by step formula

I would say that email marketing is better than seo because you can have a recurring income from one customer when email marketing.
