Default Adwords budget

Hi there

Ok, so I'm an internet marketing novice, as green as they come. I've got my website up and running (www.pianounlocked.com) and am trying to sell an ebook on advanced classical piano technique.

I can hear you groaning - another dreamer trying to sell and ebook. But it must be possible to make some money out of this....

Anyway, my monthly Adwords budget is $30 and the ebook sells for $30. I've got that all wrong haven't I? The Adwords budget needs to be $150 or $200 doesn't it?

Any advice on how to get site traffic going would be gratefully received.

Sigh.......

I have to say I'm impressed. You already have a topic, a product, a landing page and a budget. You are much further along than most people that are trying to sell things online!

As for AdWords spending it's not always about how much your spending, rather it's about your conversion rate. Clicks that turn into buys.

Here is an interview with Sunny Hills, an AdWords "guru" my dad (Bob) interviewed a while back that you may enjoy: Sunny Hills - Three Components Of A Successful Google Adwords Campaign

As for traffic, have you looked into social bookmarking/social networking?

Also for organic search traffic you may want to look into Article Marketing: Traffic Generation Article Marketing

Hi there

Many thanks indeed for your reply! What exactly is social bookmarking/networking? I'd be interested to learn more about that.....

Hi Spurt:

Here is a starter for you on Social Bookmarketing. It's a video on how to use Stumble-upon. It's quite an amazing thing. Check it out when you get a chance.

The sunny hills interview helped me too. Thanks Bob. Would be using it to make the training module ad campaigns, yet to clearly define the TG. would post back if I do any good.

I don't really think you have to save on keywords for your site optimization. You will not avoid expenses if you really want to make a good seo. If you want to optimize your Adwords, try SEMRUSH
