Joy Is A Marketing Tool
Joy Is A Marketing Tool
Joy is one of the most powerful marketing tools I know. When combined with other strategies, it can easily turn a ‘no’ into a ‘yes’.
Joy is infectious. You naturally want to be around people who are positive and to do business with them.
Here is one way to bring more joy into your marketing and your life.
Let’s say that you are ready to call on a customer and you are sitting in your car outside their house feeling sad. You do not know why you are feeling this way.
As every feeling we have shows us something about ourselves, our relationships and our life, this feeling is significant.
You decide to take a few minutes to work with this feeling of sadness before seeing your client.
Fortunately, you know an exercise, which is called The Water Exercise which
you have used it before.
Water is an ancient form of healing.
You are in Hawaii on an island which has golden, delicious pineapples growing everywhere. The sun is shining and there is a special glow in the air.
You walk from your hotel to a nearby tide pool. There are dolphin and small fishes swimming in the water. This water is special water that can help you heal.
You step into the tide pool and the dolphin and fish swim up to you.
They create ripples in the water as they begin circling around you. Suddenly, you become aware of a feeling within you that needs healing…..
You let the feeling go as you continue to receive healing from the water, dolphins and fish.
After fifteen minutes, you feel light and peaceful.
Now, it feels like the time with the dolphins is coming to an end. You thank them for their help and walk slowly back to your hotel, as you enjoy the warm sand beneath your feet.

You take the time you need to finish this exercise.
Afterwards, you feel much better. The feeling of
sadness is no longer there and you are ready to
see your client.
Joy Tip #1: Take the time to feel your feelings.

Great point Oshana:
Recognized Expert is located within walking distance of the spot you described. Even though I have the opportunity to jump in the ocean easily, I still find myself reflecting on the experience when I'm away from Hawaii. It is just as powerful in the mind as it is in body.
Thanks for the inspirational blog post.

I imagine there are many spots in Hawaii which feel like the one you know and the
one I sense is there.
There is a magic there.
Thanks for the opportunity to post this
and the SEO 'session'.
Your work is wonderful and much needed.Posted 08-30-2008 at 08:01 PM by Oshana Himot

Great post.
Given that mood's can be incredibly infectious, it really is important to be in a good mood when talking to a client (or anyone for that matter!
)
I just subscribed to your RSS feed! I look forward to what's next.

WOW,
Now let me just say that anytime I can send my mind beyond the great white north I do chose to travel eyes wide shut. Thanks so much for the inspired imagery Oshana!Posted 09-12-2008 at 07:22 PM by mccr8

Glad you enjoyed the guided experience. It is
amazing how much we can accomplish thru our
mind and feelings to create any reality we desire.
This is a power we all have and like anything else,
with practice, it grows even more powerful.
I am doing alot of work with the concept of
momentum right now....and have seen the
affects in my own life about what can be
achieved by building momentum.Posted 09-13-2008 at 09:52 AM by Oshana Himot
