A Marketing Addiction
StumbleUpon is by far one of the most addictive social bookmarking websites I have ever fell pray to. Even one accidental click of the stumble button and it's all over but the clicking.1) Website Research
We have to be able to learn something about our businesses through StumbleUpon, but what? Here are some ways you can use StumbleUpon to help better understand what your market really wants.
What are the most popular, interesting and informative websites in your field doing that your site isn't?2) Market Research
Stumble through some sites relevant to your business and customers interests and make notes. Now instead of blindly building your website you'll already know what your customers want. Why reinvent the wheel?
Sell coffee? Ever think to sell coffee tables? What else are you already creating a market for with your website that you're not taking advantage of?3) Your Job's Boring
Stumble through some sites in your field and get some ideas as to new things you can do with your customers and website traffic.
Who honestly hasn't (or at least wanted) to use StumbleUpon at work? Seriously, are you at work right now?4) Keep Up With The Times
We all get stuck in a daily routine that can make it very difficult to keep up with the times (and your customers.) If you can't stay up-to-date with your business who is?5.) Get To Know Your Customers
StumbleUpon is an incredibly fast and convenient way to see some of the newest and hottest content in your industry. If nothing else you may even learn something.
How cool is this, your potential customers comment on your competitors websites! Using StumbleUpon's commenting system you can spy on what your potential customers like and dislike about your competitors websites (as well as your own if you have any content in the network). Start reading comments and listen to your customers!
