Update: This blog was posted on the Recognized Expert blog on January 22. As of February 1, it holds the Number One position on Google. This stuff really works!

Getting your blog ranked high on Google is a fantastic way to attract potential clients. Here's how it's done.

Select Your Keywords
Choose the keywords and keyword phrases you want your blog to rank high for on Google. In this example I want this blog post to rank high for the term, "Blog Ranked High on Google." Currently there are approximately 286,000 pages using this term.

Use Your Keywords in Your Blog Title
Google pays attention to the words and phrases you use in your title. Notice how I used the term, "Blog Ranked High On Google" in the title. You want to do the same thing for the keyword phrase you are trying to rank high for in your blog post.

Use Your Keywords in Your Blog Text

Notice how I've used my keyword phrase throughout the text. Google and the other search engines pay attention to the text on your blog to help understand what your blog post is about. Once Google understands what your blog is about, it will try to make it accessible on it's search results page for the appropriate keyword phrase.

Link To Your Blog With Keyword Rich Anchor Text
Everything we've discusses so far is peanuts compared to what I'm about to share with you. Get as many quality one-way links leading back from other blogs and websites to your blog post where the clickable text is your keyword phrase. In this example I would want the people who link to this blog post to have the clickable text read Blog Ranked High On Google. This is known as the anchor text.

Ask Your Readers To Digg Your Blog Post
Ask your readers to tell the rest of the world about your blog post using one of the social bookmarking sites. They include, DIGG, Del.icio.us, Stumble, Blink and many others. This will encourage Google to rank your site for your keyword phase quickly.

Blog On A Community Site
Recognized Expert is a community marketing blogging site with lots of traffic and marketing content. Google is much more likely to see and rank your blog post highly on it's search engine if it is posted on a targeted community site than on a smaller individual site.

If you applying each of these six steps to every blog post you write, you will quickly create a huge following of clients and potential clients.
