Are these affiliates loosing money, or are they correct in their thinking?
We can't tell, for sure, if people are making a mistake by promoting a high yielding one-time commission affiliate program. But we can definitely say that they are making a large mistake if they stay away from residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs pay less per sale, but companies offering such kind of programs would generally pay you regular and reccuring commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale! That means, for the same effort you made in promoting a particular referral program, you make a commission only once in a one-time commission program, and a regular and recurring income for a residual program!
So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting? Definitely yes, because you can earn more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run! So what type of affiliate program is best for you? It is not really for me to say. But with the benefits that residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would a mistake to disregard these type of programs.
