Getting Your Site Indexed Quickly By Google

The quickest way to get your site indexed on Google is to ask a friend with a popular website or blog to link to it from their website or blog.
For example, the website www.2Hawaii.com (which I found while randomly typing unique names into the address bar) is not indexed by Google yet. However, I expect to see that it will be indexed in the next 24 hours due to this link from Recognized Expert.
The way to see if this site is indexed is to go to Google and type in the prefix site: followed by the website address. In this example I would go to Google and type in site:2hawaii.com
Now, if the site does not show up in the next day or two on Google, there may be some extenuating circumstances. According to Josh, Google may have banned this site from their index because it offers little or no value. This is new information to me ... and something I plan to check on for my next blog post.
