LUCK, LIFE and the LOTTERY

Posted 11-25-2008 at 05:02 PM by America's Business Launch Expert
Luck defined as opportunity meeting preparation plays a huge role in achieving success in many endeavors. We are without a doubt what we are and who we are as a result of votes we never cast. The votes we never cast are the wildcards that bring us this thing called luck. The votes we never cast include the arrival of people in our lives at times and places we had 0 control over. The votes we never cast are the places we're born, the families we're a part of and the minds we've no choice but model. The votes we never cast also include the genes we get. So next time you get envious, jealous or bitter consider much of what you stew over is life's biggest lottery. Being upset about not winning the lottery is irrational. You take the winnings you get and move on. There is no right or wrong in the lottery. Some win lots, some win less than lots and some win even less.

If you're reading this be glad you were born into a family that cared enough to have you reading at all. Or feel lucky that a school system even existed where you were born.

If you want to increase your odds at winning of course it means you just have to play more often in hopes that the winning ticket (opportunity) is in that party store owners hands. Be careful to recognize the party store owner is simply that (a party store owner) as he hands you a chance to win and never forget the old adage - you miss 100% of the shots you never take.

    Hi Dan:
I love the way you think.

According to a study I recently read the two things that make people the must unhappy are:
    * Comparing themselves to their peers ... and
    * Comparing themselves to where they think they should be by this time in their life.

If we don't like where we are in life we can either change our peers or get off our backsides and get in the game.

Thanks for the inspirational message Dan.
