While I don’t like sounding like a broken record, this is something so vital to the success of your business that it bears constant repetition.

A May 2008 report from the website eMarketer.com shows that between 2007 and 2012, blog readership will climb from 94 million to an astounding 145 million.

That is an increase of 67%! Read that number again.

Look, I can go on for pages offering you business and professional tips, techniques, tactics, you name it, to increase wealth, to reach financial success, or to “make it big” as the saying goes. But when something so obvious comes along, so right, words simply don’t cut it.

You’d have a hard time finding anything else in the business world which can confidently predict a 67% increase. Is there anything else you need to know? You need to start a blog and start one now!

Think for a minute about the industry giants Google and Yahoo!

What made them so successful? They got into the market at just the right time - a time when the market was predicted to be in the beginning stages of explosive growth.

Again, that’s 67%… So if this singular fact isn’t enough to get you going with a Blog, then really, nothing else will. But heck, I like to push things beyond the limit, even when it seems we’ve reached it.

I’m going to give MORE reasons, more facts, as to why you NEED and will WANT to start blogging today, immediately, without pause, right NOW.

A search of the web for relevant facts (and being the considerate soul that I am, I’ve done that for you) pulls up a 2006 report from the Pew Internet and American Life Project. The subject was the demographics of bloggers, as well as other information about blogs.

The study covered who was blogging, how they went about it and what they had accomplished with their blogging. The findings of this study were very interesting; I’ve pulled the most important facts from it for your elucidation here.

Here are 5 points culled from this report which illustrate the importance of starting a blog ASAP.

Point #1: INCREASING YOUR READERSHIP About 8% of U.S. internet users (12 million) maintain a blog. 39% of U.S. internet users (about 40 million) read blogs. That’s a 5:1 ratio…and that ratio is going to increase.

Point #2: FOR THE MONEY? 52% of bloggers cited personal expression and having a creative outlet as their reason for starting a blog. Only 7% of bloggers are in it for the money. What does this tell you?

There is little competition, with so few bloggers in it for financial gain. There are a large number of successful blogs which you can emulate - in the interest of making money. What this all means is that while creativity sells, the creative types are rarely selling it. Learn from this - there is money to be made.

Point #3: EASY ON TIME Blogging is not terribly time consuming; in fact only 10% of bloggers put in ten or more hours a week on their blogs.

This is something which should interest you. There are many popular blogs out there - and the bloggers behind them are not spending every waking moment to achieve this popularity. It may be far easier to run a blog and make money from it than you think. For a very small time investment, you could be taking in the easiest money you’ve ever made.

Point #4: SUBJECT MATTER The survey asked bloggers what they tend to write about. These were their answers: 37% write about their own lives. 11% write about issues of public interest. 7% focus on entertainment and niche topics such as sports, business, technology, hobbies, religion, etc.

The point here is that if you want a lot of viewers on an ever-increasing basis, then you’ll need to allow bloggers a lot of PERSONAL space to express themselves. Today it’s all about personality, about the FACE. Remember this point well.

Point #5: DEMOGRAPHICS Knowing your readership is something you need to do before you begin blogging. You want to try to capture the largest demographic possible if you intend to make your blog a profitable one.

54% of bloggers are 30 or younger. Bloggers are evenly divided between the genders. More than 50% of bloggers live in suburbs rather than in cities. 60% of bloggers are white, 11% black, 19% English-speaking Hispanic, and 10% other.

While the demographics of the blog world don’t mean that you should not consider minorities as a part of your readership, you want to go for the largest possible audience if you are trying to make money from your blog.

The best blogs will ALWAYS be those which are interesting to EVERY group, regardless of race, age, or gender. That’s the real gem. That’s the ticket to financial success through blogging.

There has been a lot of useful information and many good reasons given here for you to start up a blog right away.

Don’t wait a second more - start blogging! Setting up a blog is fast and easy and usually free to boot! It also isn’t going to eat up all of your time. So what are you waiting for? What else do I need to tell you?

Whether you are a beginning network marketer just setting up your online marketing, or an established Internet marketer just trying to increase your traffic flow, you need know the benefits a blog can offer to your business. In fact, a blog should be at the very center of the web of marketing you’re creating on the Internet, and I’m going to tell you why.

But to begin with, I’d like to talk a little about what a blog is, and what sets it apart from a website or other marketing tools. It is content.

Blog is a word that came from the combination of the words “web” and “log”. Blogs do not need eye-catching layout or unique design, like a website does. Blogs are driven by words.

That’s good news anyone trying to drive traffic to their network marketing business. A blog is easier to set up than a website and requires less time and expertise. Plus, all of those words really get the search engines’ attention.

Because the articles and dialogues on a blog usually center around a general topic, like network marketing, or health and wellness, they are by nature keyword rich. The result is that blogs have an automatic way of drawing the search engines’ attention, and thus, attracting prospects.

Another plus about blogs in the “eyes” of search engines is that they are constantly changing. Websites tend to display the same information for long periods of time, and that is okay. Think of them more like a brochure or catalogue for your business. Blogs are updated as frequently as new developments or ideas come to the surface.

That may sound like a lot of work, but it really doesn’t have to be. Do you send follow-up emails to your leads list, or encouraging messages to your sales team? Post them on your blog. Since you are using your content to attract your target market, the people who come to your blog are bound to find the information useful too. New findings and tips are great things to add to your blog too. They go back to that principle of giving a real value before you expect to get anything from your prospects.

Blogs set you up as an authority in your field. Your knowledgeable content and your willingness to share your learning experience as you go are just more components working toward selling your audience on you. If prospects have found interesting information or helpful tips on your blog, they are much more likely to give you their contact information when they reach your lead capture page, because they want to receive further value from you.

Once set up, a blog works continuously to build your prospects list and bring new people into your business. It is working even when you are relaxing, and because it does the prospecting for you, you will have more time to work on other valuable aspects of your mlm.

A blog can be a great source of cash flow, particularly if you are involved in affiliate programs, such as the Renegade system. Renegade University can teach you, click-by-click, how to establish your, and offers affiliate commissions for referring others.

Stop wondering about those stories of sudden and tremendous success in Internet Network marketing. I am solving the mystery for you right here. It happened as the result of smart social marketing with a blog at the core. Find out for yourself how a blog can drive traffic your way and bring qualified prospects to your network marketing business.

Why do you want to create a blog? There are several reasons you want to create a blog. First you want to bring in more traffic to your blog and in some case you may also want to make some money from your blog. Blogging probably wont make you wealthy overnight but if you do it right, you will produce some income for yourself.

Blogs are very popular, and if you haven’t started one then you are probably missing a lot of readers who have like interests with you. Internet users love to read blogs and love to come back to blogs to see what’s need. Search engines also love blogs. Google and Yahoo realized that blogs have the most current content on the web and that content is continually changing. These tips will help you learn how to create a blog and avoid technical problems when blogging.

Choose a Blogger - Choose between one of the two programs for blogging, either blogger or Wordpress. You may have seen where these two companies like to compete against each other, and each has their advantages and disadvantages. The best way to choose between the two is to look at both sites and use the one that is easiest for you. If you ever want to change from one the the other, the process is fairly simple

Figure out what you are interested in and blog about that. Choosing the platform is just the first step, but the most important step is figuring out what you want to blog about. You need to keep your blog in keeping with something that you are passionate about. This will keep you working on your blog throughout the years and keep you interested in up keeping it.

It is really important that you are truly passionate about what you are blogging about. The only way you are going to make your blog interesting is if you blog about something you really like. It shows through in your righting.

Did you know that there are lots of bloggers out there that make a four figure income and some that make even more, and you can do the same by learning how to get traffic on your site and what to market. You need to be well known among other bloggers and you need to have all the information that others are looking for.

Remember getting the blog up is just the start so you cant just put it up and expect it to work itself. The work comes when you have to start putting good content up on that blog. Content that includes pictures, and information about the topic you have chosen. This is your own daily, weekly or bi weekly report of what goes on in regard to your topic.

Once you have started the blog you need to learn to get traffic to it. Getting it up is easy, and its even easy to add some content, but getting traffic to keep coming back can be a little tricky and you need to keep on top of things. Read as much as you can about driving traffic to your site and getting your readers to stay there.

How Do I Start Blogging?
by Mark Hall

One of the most common questions asked online is how do I start blogging for cash. Blogging can be a very rewarding pursuit. Some are attracted to the financial rewards from hearing stories of rag to riches achieved through blogging, while others are in it for the leisurely pleasure of sharing an idea or two with the rest of the world. Successful people make five to six figure incomes from it by using certain methods, creating amazing figures.

Today, the blogger will have many choices how he wishes to monetize his or her blog. You can find direct advertising options as well as affiliate offers. If you are willing to search, there are plenty of ways to make money from a blog. There is one ingredient for success that you need to make successful - the ‘big T’. What is the big T? Well, its ‘traffic’; if your blog site doesn’t have enough traffic, you will not earn any money.

Here are some monetization options that you can embark in, supposing that you already have a great traffic. PayPerPost and ReviewMe can be used if you are new in this field. These are easy to start since they do not require you to have a certain amount of traffic before you can get started. For the busy person who still wants to make a decent income from blogs, this is a good method. If you wish, you may write a review for a fee which is an excellent method to make money from blogging.

You can almost guarantee a regular income stream by choosing this option. Do spend some time looking into these points beforehand. The fastest way to failure is to make a post when you have a review to make. The presence of too many sponsored posts makes your blogs less credible; accept sponsors only for product reviews that are relevant to your niche.

You will have more options if the revenue is based on the reader’s actions, purchases, and participation. A good example of this in action is affiliate offers. This option lets you incorporate the offers and links into your actual text. Suppose your blogs are all about repairing credit, make sure that you provide links and advertisements for services associated with credit repair, credit reports, and other related services or products. There are some wonderful surprises to be discovered using this method. NeverBlueAds, AzoogleAds, Share-a-Sale, and Commission Junction are simply havens to find great programs; find some great offers by visiting the website.

Opt for content based advertising if you prefer a less intrusive form. All the advertisements will be created based on the contents of the page. Publisher Networks of Yahoo and Google’s Adsense are some of the most popular players in this particular area.

You can join into the league of successful people making a regular income through this system. Every visitor that visits your blog can increase your turnover; you can expect to earn money from the traffic because these ads are part of the website. Placing those ads will give your visitors extra information.

So forget your hesitancy, just choose which money making idea that appeals to you by selecting the ones that you believe will work. You can notice some similar qualities in all successful bloggers. Your talent can be turned into a money making opportunity online. Make a fresh start by becoming a blogger today.

Building Traffic with Blogs
By Theo McLanahan

If you are looking for a way to drive traffic to your website, look to your blog. Blogs are an excellent way to communicate with your target market and invite them to visit your site. Here are some tips you can use to blog for traffic.

Make regular blog posts, preferably three times each week. If you keep adding fresh information to your blog, people will be more likely to return and read more. You can get people who read your blog to consider you an expert in your field if your blogs are especially informative.

They will turn to your blog as a way to seek answers to their questions. Posting regularly also develops a relationship between you and your customer. They will get to know you and trust your opinion.

Feed burners allow you to maintain communication between you and your readers more easily. Readers won’t even have to visit your website to read your blog. Instead, all of your new posts and updates will be sent straight to your customers’ email. Feed burners are easy to add to your blog. All you need is some simple HTML code. There are many online services that can help you, some of which will do so free of charge.

You can also opt to have a ‘blog roll’ or list of blogs your readers may find helpful on the side of your page. If you put the link to another blog on your page, ask for a link back to your blog, too. This can help widen your audience, as readers of others’ blogs will see the link to your blog and check it out. Just remember to keep your target market in mind. It doesn’t make sense to trade links with just any blog.

One of the best, and easiest, ways to drive traffic to your website through your blog is to link back to your site as you post. Each time you put a new article on your site, you can write a ‘teaser’ post containing an excerpt of the article and include a ‘read more’ link to the page on your site that features the complete text.

Also include links to older articles that become timely again. For instance, you may have put up an article on your site in the summer that explains how to keep kids occupied by creating costumes. When Halloween comes around, don’t forget to link back to that article.

Adding links to opt-in pages is another option.

About the Author:

If you want more visitors to your website (and who doesn’t?) you should be using free article submission as one of your promotional strategies. And you should be submitting at Zogol.com, one of the few article directories that allows anchor text inks in the body of the article, not just the resource box.

Some people have no problem expressing themselves on paper. Their thoughts seem to flow easily from their minds to their pens and then onto paper for others to read. However, this is not the case for everyone. Though not everyone is a natural born writer, anyone can individualize their writing and make it stand out. Following are a few tips that can help you create your own style of writing.

Good writers have a love of words and a love of reading. Reading is the first step in creating your own style of writing. When you know what you love to read you will know what things you would find pleasure in writing.

Reading other peoples’ writing will also give you insights on your own writing. As you read, some authors’ styles will seem to pop out at you as very good or very bad. You probably have a writing style similar to the authors you enjoy reading.

What are your writing strengths? Some people are great at writing news-oriented stories, while some people prefer to write reviews and opinion pieces. If you like to teach people things, your writing strength could be how-to articles.

If you enjoy coming up with slogans and catchy headlines, you might be a natural when it comes to copywriting. There are many types of writing to explore.

You cannot create your own style of writing until you pick up a pen and start writing. Make it a daily event. Practice makes perfect. Keep an open mind and try lots of different methods the styles. Some things you try will come easier than others. One great way to practice your writing skills is by writing journals and blogs.

When practicing your writing don’t expect perfection. Remember, you decide if anyone will ever read what you’ve written. The objective is to be consistent and improve your skills day by day. With time and practice the natural writer in you will reveal itself.

It is important to remember to be yourself. Don’t write words that you would never say. If your writing isn’t natural for you your readers will pick up on that. Imagine yourself in a conversation with your readers and let your personality shine through. Always write about things that interest you and that will interest others.

Google has added a new page element called “Blog List.” This element will allow you to share your favorite blogs with your readers right on the side of your blog. Sure we could have done this with a link list, but the new clean look is worth the addition.

Snipits of Feeds

If you add a blog feed instead of a blog URL the page element will display a snipit of text from the most recent blog entry (very cool.)

Pass Some PageRank

This links in this page element are rel=”follow”. This means that this list will improve the PageRank of the sites that list to you and you will benifit when other blogs link to you.

I just read an interesting article on the Build A Better Blog website where Patsi Krakoff and Denise Wakeman talked about the differences between Blogger, Wordpress and Typepad. They suggested that non-techie, business bloggers should use Typepad as their blogging platform. I completely agree. Typepad is an excellent blog that is very search engine friendly out of the box. They then suggested that you use Wordpress.org if you have easy access to a technician. I also agree. Wordpress is a very powerful blog with a huge community of users.

And finally, they suggested that you shouldn’t use Blogger for a business blog. I don’t agree. What most Wordpress and Typepad bloggers don’t understand is the amazing customization capability you have with Blogger. For example, you can remove the Blogger Nav Bar from your header easily. This makes your blog look much more professional and non-Google like. You can also easily accept credit cards on your Blogger blog quickly convert your blog into a business blog. Best of all, Blogger is super easy to use and it’s completely free … unlike Typepad or having to pay for a hosting account with Wordpress.

Now, would I use a Blogger blog for my business? Probably not. But would I use a Blogger blog to set up a blog for my business? Absolutely, especially if I wanted to save money while I was learning how to blog and earn money.

Here’s a really neat trick. Wordpress has a function where you can import your entire Blogger blog to a Wordpress platform in less than 6 seconds. That’s right … less than 6 seconds. This blog was originally created on Blogger and was converted to a Wordpress blog.

My conclusion is this, if you want a serious business blog and you have the money and time to learn how to do it right, go with Wordpress. If you want a serious business blog and you don’t have the time or technical expertise to keep it up to date, pay $15 a month and go with Typepad. If you’re just starting out, go with Blogger. Once you learn how to blog on Blogger, the others will be a piece of cake.

This is my favorite service. We use Elance to find people to help us write articles, code our websites, set-up blogs and much more. Here is how the process works.

Go to Elance and sign up for an account. Start by writing a brief description of what you want done. Specify who you want to bid on your project and what you are willing to pay to get it completed. You can also allow anyone who wants to bid on your project to bid on it and not tell them what you are willing to pay. Then, determine how long you want to keep your project out for bid. The longer it’s out for bid, the more people will bid on it. You will also get better pricing.

If you decide not to follow through with the project, there is no charge. This service rocks. Visit Elance and get started today.
