The Key to Financial Success through Blogging

by Christopher B. Marquis

While I don’t like sounding like a broken record, this is something so vital to the success of your business that it bears constant repetition.

A May 2008 report from the website eMarketer.com shows that between 2007 and 2012, blog readership will climb from 94 million to an astounding 145 million.

That is an increase of 67%! Read that number again.

Look, I can go on for pages offering you business and professional tips, techniques, tactics, you name it, to increase wealth, to reach financial success, or to “make it big” as the saying goes. But when something so obvious comes along, so right, words simply don’t cut it.

You’d have a hard time finding anything else in the business world which can confidently predict a 67% increase. Is there anything else you need to know? You need to start a blog and start one now!

Think for a minute about the industry giants Google and Yahoo!

What made them so successful? They got into the market at just the right time - a time when the market was predicted to be in the beginning stages of explosive growth.

Again, that’s 67%… So if this singular fact isn’t enough to get you going with a Blog, then really, nothing else will. But heck, I like to push things beyond the limit, even when it seems we’ve reached it.

I’m going to give MORE reasons, more facts, as to why you NEED and will WANT to start blogging today, immediately, without pause, right NOW.

A search of the web for relevant facts (and being the considerate soul that I am, I’ve done that for you) pulls up a 2006 report from the Pew Internet and American Life Project. The subject was the demographics of bloggers, as well as other information about blogs.

The study covered who was blogging, how they went about it and what they had accomplished with their blogging. The findings of this study were very interesting; I’ve pulled the most important facts from it for your elucidation here.

Here are 5 points culled from this report which illustrate the importance of starting a blog ASAP.

Point #1: INCREASING YOUR READERSHIP About 8% of U.S. internet users (12 million) maintain a blog. 39% of U.S. internet users (about 40 million) read blogs. That’s a 5:1 ratio…and that ratio is going to increase.

Point #2: FOR THE MONEY? 52% of bloggers cited personal expression and having a creative outlet as their reason for starting a blog. Only 7% of bloggers are in it for the money. What does this tell you?

There is little competition, with so few bloggers in it for financial gain. There are a large number of successful blogs which you can emulate - in the interest of making money. What this all means is that while creativity sells, the creative types are rarely selling it. Learn from this - there is money to be made.

Point #3: EASY ON TIME Blogging is not terribly time consuming; in fact only 10% of bloggers put in ten or more hours a week on their blogs.

This is something which should interest you. There are many popular blogs out there - and the bloggers behind them are not spending every waking moment to achieve this popularity. It may be far easier to run a blog and make money from it than you think. For a very small time investment, you could be taking in the easiest money you’ve ever made.

Point #4: SUBJECT MATTER The survey asked bloggers what they tend to write about. These were their answers: 37% write about their own lives. 11% write about issues of public interest. 7% focus on entertainment and niche topics such as sports, business, technology, hobbies, religion, etc.

The point here is that if you want a lot of viewers on an ever-increasing basis, then you’ll need to allow bloggers a lot of PERSONAL space to express themselves. Today it’s all about personality, about the FACE. Remember this point well.

Point #5: DEMOGRAPHICS Knowing your readership is something you need to do before you begin blogging. You want to try to capture the largest demographic possible if you intend to make your blog a profitable one.

54% of bloggers are 30 or younger. Bloggers are evenly divided between the genders. More than 50% of bloggers live in suburbs rather than in cities. 60% of bloggers are white, 11% black, 19% English-speaking Hispanic, and 10% other.

While the demographics of the blog world don’t mean that you should not consider minorities as a part of your readership, you want to go for the largest possible audience if you are trying to make money from your blog.

The best blogs will ALWAYS be those which are interesting to EVERY group, regardless of race, age, or gender. That’s the real gem. That’s the ticket to financial success through blogging.

There has been a lot of useful information and many good reasons given here for you to start up a blog right away.

Don’t wait a second more - start blogging! Setting up a blog is fast and easy and usually free to boot! It also isn’t going to eat up all of your time. So what are you waiting for? What else do I need to tell you?

A Blog can Drive Traffic to Your Website or Lead Capture Page

by Cathy Yeatts

Whether you are a beginning network marketer just setting up your online marketing, or an established Internet marketer just trying to increase your traffic flow, you need know the benefits a blog can offer to your business. In fact, a blog should be at the very center of the web of marketing you’re creating on the Internet, and I’m going to tell you why.

But to begin with, I’d like to talk a little about what a blog is, and what sets it apart from a website or other marketing tools. It is content.

Blog is a word that came from the combination of the words “web” and “log”. Blogs do not need eye-catching layout or unique design, like a website does. Blogs are driven by words.

That’s good news anyone trying to drive traffic to their network marketing business. A blog is easier to set up than a website and requires less time and expertise. Plus, all of those words really get the search engines’ attention.

Because the articles and dialogues on a blog usually center around a general topic, like network marketing, or health and wellness, they are by nature keyword rich. The result is that blogs have an automatic way of drawing the search engines’ attention, and thus, attracting prospects.

Another plus about blogs in the “eyes” of search engines is that they are constantly changing. Websites tend to display the same information for long periods of time, and that is okay. Think of them more like a brochure or catalogue for your business. Blogs are updated as frequently as new developments or ideas come to the surface.

That may sound like a lot of work, but it really doesn’t have to be. Do you send follow-up emails to your leads list, or encouraging messages to your sales team? Post them on your blog. Since you are using your content to attract your target market, the people who come to your blog are bound to find the information useful too. New findings and tips are great things to add to your blog too. They go back to that principle of giving a real value before you expect to get anything from your prospects.

Blogs set you up as an authority in your field. Your knowledgeable content and your willingness to share your learning experience as you go are just more components working toward selling your audience on you. If prospects have found interesting information or helpful tips on your blog, they are much more likely to give you their contact information when they reach your lead capture page, because they want to receive further value from you.

Once set up, a blog works continuously to build your prospects list and bring new people into your business. It is working even when you are relaxing, and because it does the prospecting for you, you will have more time to work on other valuable aspects of your mlm.

A blog can be a great source of cash flow, particularly if you are involved in affiliate programs, such as the Renegade system. Renegade University can teach you, click-by-click, how to establish your, and offers affiliate commissions for referring others.

Stop wondering about those stories of sudden and tremendous success in Internet Network marketing. I am solving the mystery for you right here. It happened as the result of smart social marketing with a blog at the core. Find out for yourself how a blog can drive traffic your way and bring qualified prospects to your network marketing business.
